FS: 1M Replica Bumper - Painted (MineralGrau/Grey Metallic) w/ducts

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 650.00

Item Interest
Will ship but prefer local pick up, shipping is included.

Bought the bumper for 354 and had it painted for 300 by a local shop -- so I'm taking a loss on this one after shipping. Came out great, matches the color of the car perfectly. Fits great as well, just not my aesthetic.

I just was lazy when I was shopping and didn't realize this version sits higher off the ground than I'd like. I had saw others and preferred how much lower to the ground they were, turns out those are generally the ones that come with fogs.

So I thought I'd see if anybody prefers that look on here. I know some like more ground clearance for DD. I prefer a smaller ground clearance for the looks.

Brand new, it's been on the car a couple of days. If you can pick up local I'll deduct 125 from the asking price for shipping costs.

Damn, If you didn't have this priced with the cost of painting included I would probably buy it, but I would need to repaint to Space Gray, so doesn't make sense for me.

GLWS though, and free bump!

Same, really shrinks the market.

Personally think this version looks 10x better, especially when viewed from the side. GLWS!

Painted or unpainted?

I might be interested in setting up something so we can swap if you'd want to.

Maybe it's just mine or how I fit it, but I find it odd. I feel like the bumper sits slightly higher than the rest of the car. But maybe it's just me. It's also been cold and rainy so I haven't taken much time to look at it.

Ebay. 354 paid and shipped.

If you type in and search for the 1M replica, with ducts (not fogs) from any source they all appear to be the same style as this one.

The ones with fogs usually come lowered. Check my right up on the subject here.

Darn, it was worth a shot!

I recommend going the route of cutting out the fogs. I still had to cut out tabs on mine (for fogs) was really easy to do and sand down before it went in for painting.

Also, it's growing on me slowly the more I look at it -- it's just not what I had in mind from many of the ones I had seen done on here. I like the idea of my car looking like it's sitting lower, to me it looks more aggressive. So now it's annoying with this bumper if I want that look I'll have to lower my car. But it's growing on me, if I add a splitter to it maybe it will help give it a lower more aggressive look. But I need to take care of replacing my water pump and radiator before I do anything else cosmetic. This is one I had to do since my engine splash guard and previous bumper were damaged.

With that said, if I can find somebody that would swap or buy this one I'd probably still do it.

I’d consider a lip at this point to get the lowered appearance you’re after.
I went with the 1m Bumper with the fog light brackets and it sits so low on stock height that I know I can’t run any sort of thick lip without scraping driveways.

I keep seeing this front lip on eBay. Perhaps this may help.

That's basically where I am at at this point. I was looking at one that was Carbon but it's 4x the cost of this one. Similar style. Might just grab this one and wrap it in a carbon wrap and call it a day now that my old bumper sold. Basically can get this for 10 bucks.

Edit: just checked, this is exactly the same as the ones I've been looking at, but a fraction of the cost. You are 100% the man!
