What is wrong here?

Hello There.

I finally ordered my 1st BMW. woot

128i, Black Sapphire Metallic, Black Leatherette
M sports package, premium sound. I am very happy with this configuration. however there is something that bothered me.

When I was in the dealer, we have checked a very same configuration car in the North America. and there was not a single one.

This suddenly feared me if I am doing something wrong, did i pick a super ugly combination or something?

What do you guys think on this?

What?

I think what you mean is there isn't one for sale right now with that exact config, doesn’t mean anything probably 75% of us had to order our cars because the config didn't exist.
And they can't check NA as they can't sell Canadian or Mexican BMW's in the US.

There isn't a single one in the U.S. because a) You didn't select the Premium package that almost every dealer gets for their cars and b) You didn't get an automatic which EVERY dealer gets on their cars.

There's nothing wrong with your decision! You just forgot the twin-turbo engine.

all it means is you didnt get one of the dime-a-dozen configurations bmw has for their dealership inventory. I had to do the same thing with my AW 128. The dealership said I should have gone for the 135 but I know they were just trying to get more $ out of me.

That's not surprising when you consider:

- There are only a couple hundred 128i coupes coming to the US each month (assuming the allocations haven't changed since last year)
- The m-sports package only became available in the last few months. You won't find it sitting around in dealer inventories from the past year. Also, as with any option, it won't be ordered on every new car.
- MT + sports package + premium sound is a perfectly fine, but fairly uncommon configuration. Most of those built will probably be pre-sold to customers.
- Even if the stars lined up and you could find a 128i with these options sitting in a dealer inventory somewhere... There are several color options

No worries. Special order for the win. Do a Performance Center pick up, too, if you have the time.

Garage List
if I remember correctly, on ordered cars, it is roughly 450 cars or something like that, before a duplicate occurs... so don't worry your fine.
