That is less than the 3% many people were predicting.
Three percent?! Pentagon Car Sales was estimating a 5% increase! Hopefully they will lower that estimation when BMW AG builds my car.

All-new Smartphone Integration Option
A new Smartphone (for instance iPhone) Integration option will be available starting with October 2008 production for $150. Once installed, the option charges the phone, allows access to music stored within the phone, and can improve telephone reception. Smartphone Integration does not take away from the features of the iPod/USB Adapter; meaning that a customer will still have the USB and AUX inputs available. Smartphone Integration requires an accessory snap-in adapter to fully integrate the option into an X5, X6, 1, 3, and 6 Series. Snap-in adapters and phones compatible with this new option will be announced shortly.
###

I wonder if this "option" is just a $150 option/part that you can get from your dealer in Sept or if it is factory installed only???

WTH?! Why do they do this crap with the 1 month delay? MY2009 production starts in September so why can't they organize their suppy and production to include all new features.

I do wonder though, besides improved reception, what is the benefit of this integration when doesn't the current iPod adapter already charge and access music from an iPhone?

I just want to know if this is a snap in part or if this is a required factory option????

This is independant. For those of us (like me) that have an iphone and a 160GB Classic, this allows me to use either in the car, or both at my selection. Not to mention the fact that anyone who has a "smart" phone other than the iphone may already have an ipod.... so now they have improved phone features and still an ipod kit.

Also sometimes when an iphone is plugged into a car interface it causes issues with answering calls/interference of gsm noise and car speakers, etc....

Just received email from Pentagon Car Sales. Their reported increase is $600 for the '09 135i (like nordique14 said - approximately 2-2.1%) instead of the estimated 5% increase. This is fantastic for anyone that's stationed overseas and are interested in using PCS to get their Bimmer (like me).

If I'm not mistaken the 1er and M3 are the only models that didnt experience a price change over last years models.

For those debating the whole heated stearing wheel v. sports package thing...I've got the heated stearing wheel in the X5. Very nice option, especially if you live someplace it gets cold. With that said, I'd take the sport seats and sport wheel over just the heated stearing wheel any day. You'll only appreciate the heated wheel in the cold while you'll apprecaite the seats and sport wheel every time you drive!

Where did you find the full retail price list (including options)?

Or are all options staying the same price just the base price is going up?

There is in fact a new list, updated March 1, 2009. I have it right here in my hands (I went to the dealer yesterday and they printed out the suggested retail price list for me).
