Hi, I have an '08 128i with full Msport package. Wheels are original.

I purchased a set of Style 261s, just because I like how they look. They are rims only, no tires. I'm not car-smart at all, so I'm just confirming my next steps. Is it:

-- install tires onto rims
-- install wheels onto the car
... and that's all?

Or are there pressure sensors or offset or anything else I need to consider for this process to work perfectly?

They should bolt right up. You should go with 135i tire sizes.

(front) 215/40R18
(rear) 245/35R18

The front tire size of 215 is somewhat limited... but many of us 135i owners have gone with 225 up front and 255 in the rear. On a stock suspension(or mildly lowered) they work just fine.

You will need new tire pressure sensors(TPMS, there are two types, early and late model(post '11)) or use an App like "Carly" to code out the TPMS system and go with the ROW(Rest of the World) system which uses the car's ABS sensors to detect a flat tire. Or just code it out all together.

The 261 wheels look great on our cars.

The 128 is very reliable. That being said, if you know nothing and have to rely on dealer or "Joes corner garage", for maintenance, it can get expensive. Strongly recommend you join the Oregon chapter of BMWCCA.
