Arrow Berk Technology v.s. AR

Soooo, I have always wondered this but never got a logical answer. I notice people seem to get the Berk race exhaust (or street) but when it comes to the downpipe they end up getting (usually the ones I've been paying attention to) the AR catless downpipe. Why not just get the Berk catless downpipe and make the whole exhaust from Berk? Whats the difference? Why do a lot more people seem to choose the AR downpipe over Berk? From my research it seems as if the Berk is able to give a little more power/torque gains...someone help? lol

I didn't even know Berk made downpipes for 135i. lol.

Pretty much all dp's are going to give the about the same gains. There is not really much difference between dps. Maybe some are a little easier to install than others. These days I'd find it hard to justify paying more than what you can get the bms or vrsf dp's for.

Price is the only thing I can really think of of why people use different DP.

a lot of ppl i asked said the AR was a better fit...a little better quality esp because its seeing the hottest initial exhaust temps, i felt inclined to go with it as well. i have berk mids and berk race axle back, ar catless dp...fit was perfect, love the sound!

i thought the same thing as well man, you're not the only one...

Its just so much more expensive lol and i could pay $50 to get the thermal coating and it will still be cheaper than AR. Opinion? Lol

They're all pipes. When it comes right down to it, if the pipe size is the same, and the material is the same.... all you're paying for is the name. Fitment is pretty good for all 3 brands.
