Michelin GT Challenge at VIR

This weekend!!!!!

I’m parking in the BMW corral. My question is when we take our cars out onto the track for the parade laps what is the best place to suction mount our HERO?

Where on the car gives the best video???

Thank you,
b

You'll love the track. I've been going there for years with CSS running around on a motorcycle on the north course. Do you know if you're doing north, south, or the full thing?

As far as where to mount your GoPro, not sure on a car. But I get the best videos with the camera mounted right on the nose of the front fairing of the motorcycle. I've had it on the tank shooting through the windscreen and didn't like the perspective it gives.

We drive the whole track. I’ve been the past 5-6 yrs to watch this race. Can’t wait.

You'll love it. A section of the track I've been hearing about which you may want to take notice on is the section leading up to the Oak Tree. I've heard some interesting stories coming out of that section. I haven't done it before. I've only been on the north course. Too bad the tree they had at the Start Finish line is gone. I used to use that tree as a reference point getting through the kink.

I like sticking the mount to the driverside rear (not back) little triangular window. It shows the front wheel, a reasonable profile of the car, and the view out front.
