Creamed all over the body and then dropped the diffuser off for a repaint.

Sorry - my daughter made me watch Nemo again this weekend.
Did the same to my blue 1'er this weekend (no diffuser, just foam/bath), but didn't take any pictures.

That's a nice "one car and a boat load of tools" garage you've got there....

Recently, I bought a second set of side mirror covers and had them painted gloss black. I also bought both the 128i/1M grill and Performance gloss black grill, and, at least for now, I prefer the 128i/1M version:

How does one successfully paint a diffuser?

I trust it's not a case of grabbing a couple of black rattle cans?

I like the black and chrome grilles as well. They also come on the 135is. Funny, the only 1 series that they don't come stock on here is the regular 135i. Also, I think the black mirrors look good with your Cashmere paint.

I don't how one successfully paints a diffuser. Got it done at a paintshop. Especially the middle part of the diffuser has got a rougher texture so they had it sand it and prime it before spraying. It's still not perfect, though, so will probably get it redone.

I did mine with Testors hobby paint for the black base and then went over it with high-temp clearcoat. Over a year later it's still looking good and cleans up easily. Since mine was an aftermarket leftover I got at a serious discount I also used some pinhole filler and scuffed up the whole surface first.

I would go with a dedicated aerosol paint that is color matched. There are several places that will fresh mix and an the paint for you in your color.

I did similar on my wife's Can Am.

Three coats of color, two of clear. It looks pretty good.

Fresh mix cans? And suggestions for brand?

Thanks! I wasn't exactly looking for cashmere silver when I bought the car, and it's not like any color I've bought in the past, but I've come to like it. Its shade really depends on the light. When it's overcast, which happens a lot here in Oregon, it's almost a pewter color, and then the gold undertones come out with the sun.

Nice pics. I like the first one better.

I've posted this pic before but I think it's such a beautiful picture and it really shows how nice Cashmere Silver can look in the right light so I think it's worth posting again.
