I'm completely confused
I have been trying to figure out my audio system ever since I got the car a few weeks ago. I was under the impression that it has Bluetooth capability and the I-drive system. Reading through the manual I followed the instructions and was not able to connect in any way.
I also tried to connect USB sticks to see if I have the ability to transfer music onto them from computer files. (the music someone added to the hard drive in the car sounds so nice and crisp/HD quality in the Media mode.) I called BMW and the associate said my car is setup to contain everything that the manual suggested. Hence, the owner's manual is customized to the car's options. She assured me that I didn't have either the I-drive system or any Bluetooth connectivity options. I see equipment under the cargo floor in the trunk. I thought I saw a Bluetooth icon on it. It might be helpful if you at least gave us the model year of your car. It looks like a 1-series but that's even hard to tell. The equipment/option list would be helpful. You can have your dealership print that off for you from the DCS Service menu. Unless you bought it new, the comment about the manual contents is worthless.
