I live in North Carolina and have only seen a handful of 135's, the g's are everywhere. The only thing I miss about my G was that I had 20's on it and this car only has 18 or 19" wheels.
Are you talking aftermarket? They don't come with 20's stock, that's for sure.

The interior room wasn't great for its size and the trunk wasn't tall enough. Also, it got the same if not a little worse mpg than my 135i. Overall, I am very happy that I got the 135i as the value of the G35 coupe dropped like crazy as well.

Im 1 month into my 135 from an 05 G35 as well. I loved my G, prettiest car w/ the sport package in diamond graphite ive ever seen (well I said the same about my 300z as well). I do love the 135 as well and I am head over heels in love w/ my coral red interior. However, its ass was fat and the sob was heavy. So far the 135 handles better although I feel less confident in it, maybe I'm more aggressive or maybe its my imagination. I used to autocross the z but never had the chance to take the G out. I loved the feel of the manual transmission so no complaints there. The trunk space was, as mentioned, actually less in the G than my 135. The acceleration was good but the 135 blows it away. The reliability over the first 40k miles was amazing-not one problem. I was sad to let it go when my lease was up.

I looked at the g37 briefly but found it ugly. I liked the staunch look of the 35 and the 37 looks way more feminine. Additionally, the G is way more common than the 1 and I felt it was time to try something different.

Overall happier with my 135 (it is brand new of course) but still feel it in my heart everytime i see a sporty looking G35 (IMO it looks significantly worse w/ the smaller wheel package and w/o the spoiler). Id guess that the G will prove to have been slightly more reliable than the 1 will although who knows. Also, the G didn't feel like it had the high speed push that the 135 does.

Not sure if there was any point to all that, if you have any specific questions, let me know. I guess you can't go wrong with the G35 but the 135 is faster and newer. Just depends on which looks better to you.

I am currently a G35 owner, looking to get a 135i w/ in the next couple of weeks. Never considered the G37 coupe. The sedan is a great car, just not for me at the moment

The are several things I love about both cars

First the G35, although the same can be said bout the 350z
  • The looks are amazing, one of the sexiest car to this day
  • Wheel fitment, not many cars you can fit a 20x11 -10 and look amazing!
  • Decent handling stock, and great handling w/ a couple of aftermarket mods
  • Solid Motor, although bolt ons do nothing. FI really wakes it up!
  • One of the best sounding exhaust

Now for the 135i, I have driven friends cars and test driven a couple (actually going to go test drive another one tomorrow, i love it!)
  • The handling is by far my fav thing about this car, its as nimble and tight as an 18 year old gymnast
  • Amazing car for the price
  • Easy to make fast, great platform (if you dont care bout warranty)
  • Some say, Coral Red interior will make girls panties disappear
  • I really love the interior, very classy
  • Great 6MT
  • Decently fast stock

As far a the G37, i love the interior but thats bout it. dont really like the way it drives and its too ugly for me to look at every day. I do like the 370z but I need more than 2 seats

With all that said, I am really gonna miss my G35, the sound the open dumps made was pure sex and at low rpms i loved hearing the BOV. The only reason I am selling it, its cause I have an electrical problem I cant figure out and I'm tired of dumping money into it. The car w/ the turbo was trouble free for bout two years until a electrical gremlin decided to move in.

I always planned on getting a 135i as a DD, just not this soon. Since the G is my DD now, I cant take the downtime anymore. I have less than a year till its paid off but I cant wait that long. So I have to get the 135i a lil sooner. I always wanted to have the G as my weekend warrior and the 135i as the DD but looks like that dream is over

oh well, 135i here I come!

I put about a dozen 'keyword' searches into THIS site, not a single relevant hit came up. If you say a similar thread exists, what keywords are you using?

The search function on this site isn't that great either, but I still struck out. Why are you the only person who questioned my search, when the 23 people before you simply answered my question like respectful human beings?

Thank you to all you replied with helpful information, rather than posting combative rhetorical questions! As I understand it, that's not what this forum is for.

...so fuck off, smokingone!

I had a white G35 coupe with all the toys: sports package an '07. She was a beautiful car and my second G35 coupe. I traded her in on my '08 135i. The day I purchased my BMW did not start out that way at all. I was on my way up to Sheehy Infiniti in Annapolis to look at and probably buy a new G37 coupe. I had just hung up with a sales associate there - asking how late they were open and inquiring after the car i was looking for. It began snowing - and Annapolis was a little far and I began thinking that it might not be the hottest idea to drive all the way out there especially in my car. So I went home - a little bummed out. When i got home I called my friend over at Bel Air BMW asking if the little black 135i I had looked at was still there. I originally wanted that car but they were taking $600 off sticker but charging $65 for a tank of gas. I felt a little irritated about the gas - if not the $600. But when i called him some 6 months later they were taking $3k off the car and another $1k if you went thru BMW Financial. Only 15 minutes from my house I was there almost immediately and a few hours later had taken delivery of my 135i. My G35 was beautiful - only 9k miles on her but that car did not have half the character this little beast has. I didn't feel as close to that car as I have this one. Apart from the performance = I just feel this car invites a more solid bond - a connected feel I just never had in any of my Infinitis - great as those cars are. I see G35s and G37s on the road and I admit the G35 has a more solid look to it - but the G37 is not ugly by any stretch I think it's a beautiful machine. But I've never regretted this purchase for a moment. I still love driving my car and I always look back at her after I've parked her. It's just scary how close I came to owning a G37 that day - and drove home the 135i instead.
