upgraded clutch on sale at ECS

Just and FYI... If anyone is in the market for the F10 550i upgraded clutch for your 1M they appear to be 30% off at ECS right now. Figured I would pick one up now and just shelve it until that fateful day I need to replace mine.

This *appears* to be the same kit, for less money, from a dealer (although you'll probably want to confirm it comes with the hardware).

I am very happy with this clutch, chirps tires on 1-2 shift with 500+ft-lb at the wheels. (Those are BFG rival in 275 width, so plenty or grip!) The stock clutch slipped under same conditions.

I had a slave cylinder failure shortly after install. Our slave cylinder has a plastic housing and the heat from my failing/slipping stock clutch probably deformed it. Its a cheap part and easily swapped during clutch replacement. For peace of mind, consider replacing the slave, especially if you have been driving with a worn clutch for a while. I think the part itself was $110, and doubt there is much labor difference when doing the whole clutch.
