Dinan exhaust adjustment

Finally got my Dinan exhaust installed this week. It sounds great, but I feel like the tips are sticking out too far, making it look a bit garish. I asked the shop if there was a way to adjust the distance or recut the pipe an inch or so further back but they said that it couldn't be set in any further. Anyone have this same experience or have any workaround solutions?

thanks in advance

First two images are mine, last one is from S3R for reference.

Given that the Dinan has a midpipe-muffer coupling pipe, I can't help but wonder if the way that coupler is interfacing with the axleback is causing the exaggerated protrusion.

I recall my old Dinan exhaust protruding slightly. I believe it's the design. Problem with adjusting the clamp is that the exhaust will be angled favoring the drivers side.

Sticks out less than the factory PE exhaust.

Would look funny if half the word "Dinan" was covered by bumper.

My BMW PE on a 128 only sticks out 1¼ inch.

Let me know if you want to swap to a different system. I would be interested in buying your Dinan system

I think the reason the BMW PE sticks out a bit is so that it can accommodate the BMW Performance rear diffuser.
