I know you are not on IG or FB but you should be getting the BMWCCA email blast with the chapter activities. Let me know if you aren't getting them to check what's going on! I will make sure I text you next time.

You do that IN your garage?!? Lol

Also German courts require an agreement from both parties, this is standard in most countries' laws. I'm way too ballsy (not a great thing in some cases lol) so I'd probably screenshot this whole ordeal and post about it to warn future purchasers of his products. Looks like a great time! And damn 7-1ers in one spot must be a miracle!

Passed by the local dealership, picked up 2 liters of MTF-LT3.
I was going for the Ravenol MTF-3, but i could not find the new BMW approval/number on it (it had 3 BMW part numbers). So i decided to get the original instead. Past by the DIY shop, the lift was free, 30 minutes later the oil was replaced. Shifts a lot smoother now, still has a slight notchyness to it, like your typical BMW shifter, but much better than before. Going from Castrol Multitrans 75w-90 to Castrol B75w to original MTF-LT3, i just hope that i did not cause any issues internally. Could not detect and metal shavings in the old fluid. |

Matticus91 yes! I keep power washing in there to finally peel the floor off so I can have an excuse to do properly
Plus it's been in the high 90s lately so I keep in the shade inside the garage. Just need to make sure I point well so I don't blast all the stuff I have hanging on the walls! The 1's together would have been nice to get pics of but I was helping run the BMWCCA tent so had no time to gather them all together for a pic. Next time I will.

I'm late with this post, but I took my 128i to the track on Saturday. I ended up getting sick on Friday with a cold, so it put a damper on the day, but in all it was a good day. The track is a 1.7 mile track outside DFW called Motorsport Ranch. It's not a terribly fast track, top speed was maybe 100mph. I never shifted once, just kept it in 3rd gear the whole time. In my fastest session, I was hitting redline at the end of both longer straights.
This was my first time on track in 2 years, and first time with the 1er since 2015. Last time the car was completely stock down to the runflats. This time I had Eibach pro-kit springs, Koni yellows, M3 front arms, Whiteline 2-piece RSFBs and Dinan camber plates. Tires are Falken Azenis 615K+, 225 square on factory sport wheels. This setup was very balanced. I didn't notice understeer anywhere on track, though I'm also not driving the car to its limits so we will see if this setup needs to be tweaked. There are 2 quick right-left sequences on this track, and the car felt incredible through them. I did not really think about it until writing this post, but the RSFBs are supposed to help with transitions so I guess they did their job. It is really funny to see the variety of cars that show up to track days. There were 2 new Vipers, a Hellcat, 2 GT350s, and about a million C5-C7 Corvettes. So mostly high-horsepower cars. Then an Alfa 4C, me, and a few Miatas. My instructor kept saying "now give it full power"... dude, my foot has been to the floor since the apex! This is all she's got! More power would be fun but I feel a lower horsepower car helps you focus on your line and what the car is doing. I learned a ton in my 116hp Miata and expect to learn a lot with the 128i before moving up to something quicker. The huge bummer of the weekend is that my car keeps going into limp mode. The first couple of sessions I was learning the track and got all the way to the white flag before it hit. By my last session, I only got 5 laps in before it cut power. Since this was a 2-day event, I was scrambling Saturday night to try to get NCS Expert working to code out the brake heat calculator ("FLR") but I couldn't get it. Between that and being sick, I skipped Sunday. |

Finally wore out the runflats that had just been put on the car when I bought it and replaced them with a set of the Firestone Indy 500's. Took the opportunity to also have my newly refinished Style 71 wheels put on (details here https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show...6#post23732606).
I'm digging the new look!

I am focusing on other things, such as the car. M3 arms, RSFB, LSD, diff mounts etc. Hell i am even looking at 335i front calipers w/Z4 2 piece discs and 330i rear calipers (larger diameter piston) and what not. Not letting someone like him ruin my enjoyment of owning the E82.^ Wondering if the 335i calipers/discs up front require a TÜV approval or not as well. Drove in total auto mode with no sport button pressed so the DCT would go all the way up to 7th gear at low RPMs. Didn't notice any difference with the vibration absorber, but admittedly, don't drive that way very often. There was some drone, as I'm pretty sure there was drone when driving the same way before installing the vibration absorber, but as I said, I hardly drive that way. I didn't forget either, Ban.

Not sure if I'll keep it, but put an N55 badge on the grill. Seems like it'll be convenient, because people are always asking at club events which engine I have, and the rear of the car is debadged (because of the stripe.) lol
