F22 N55 engine cover & air intake swap
Has anyone done this swap?
I currently have an M Design intake with M3 cowl and there is a lot of exposed parts of the intake manifold and valve cover with the factory engine cover. I would like to cover some of it up if possible. I would use an after market intake with the swap and have to remove the front factory inlets on the backside of the radiator support. Is there enough room between our radiator supports with the fans where they are to have an intake tube clear? I understand I may need to extend wires. I assume the power steering reservoir may get in the way as well and need some modding. Another concern is tuning. Will the new air pathway create turbulence with the tune. I intend to do a PS2 over the next month and do not want to create issues. Last edited by f87CSdrifterential; 05-21-2019 at 09:49 PM.. |
