Having goods shipped to the US and then bringing them back over the border
into Canada might save you brokerage fees but it won't save the HST.

Canada Border Services Agency collects HST on all goods declared at the border
unless you have been out of the country for more than 24 hours. Sometimes the
CBSA officer will let you through without paying the HST but it's at his discretion
as to whether to pay or not.

I have used ECS to ship to a US address by using Paypal.
