For South African members wanting to go on the Factory Tour

Can you guys give me an Idea how many of you have signed up for the Gauteng BMW Club and want to go on the tour on October 21 ( remember its a Friday )

I hear the tour is filling up fast ( Limited to 30 people ) and i may have to get your names and forward them to my contact to make shure you get on.

Have any of you filled in the "Event Registration" on the site yet ?

I am not a member of the Gauteng BMW Club, but as a member of the on-line BMW Owner's Circle (with BMW SA) I sent a request to get myself and two of my friends on the tour.

I was told that I would have to book for next year now as its been so popular. Can you do anything ?

I have sent you a PM with my details!

I have filled in the form twice, but I don't think my details have successfully been captured because when I emailed them, i got a reply saying:

"however I believe there is some wrong with the on-line registration, as I have also tried to register for the factory tour with out success. We will look into this problem."

Still no certainty asto whether or not I am registered to go on the tour!
I really want to though :-)

Seems its very popular

This tour is by the Gauteng BMW Club, so only paid up members can go

Sorry , since I dont work for BMW there is nothing I can do

I would like to go for the Factory tour.

I registered and paid for membership for the remainder of the year. I'm still waiting for my membership card .

I can't register for any event, because they require a membership number :mad: .

In any case, I will send you my details via a private message.

My registration has been confirmed through email. The last statement was that "see you on the 21st"

and that's what I wanted to hear

Great, now they just have to tell us where/when to meet

Last time we met at the Shell Ultra City on the N1 north at about 8am
This may be a bit difficult for you if you are comming from pretoria due to the HUGE amount of traffic going to Midrand ??

Ill make up proper directions on how to get to the factory. Its pretty easy, but I think a monkey put together the directions they gave us last time

Yep... 8am towards Joburg would be a little annoying, but I would do it if that's the meeting point.

I know where the Rosslyn factory is, but I would prefer going there as a group. That way I would avoid having to explain too many questions at the entrance gate

Dont worry, you are confirmed, as am I, according to my contact at the club

I think he got a email because he hadnt gotten his membership number yet and I told him to register without it

I will reconfirm all 3 of us next week again

No cameras allowed

Can take some of the visitors parking

Will show the guys where the VPC is, and should be able to take a few quick pics ( before security arrives ) of rows of E90 waiting to go to the boats
