Went for a drive and turned the knobs on my suspension to soften it up a bit. ;-).

Had a standard oil change and inspection done at East Bay BMW, along with a coolant flush and PS flush. Interestingly, the SA went out of his way to remind me that I have a SULEV which includes an 15 year/150000 mile warranty "including the valve cover gasket". That's not the impression I get of dealerships from reading the forums.

Any idea how many miles on them? I am at 87K miles, and expect mine are original.
No idea, but I'd guess they were done at the 100k mile service interval, 82k miles ago.

I had ordered in a can of Valencia Orange to do my calipers and a couple other small odds and ends. As a side hobby I also work on model cars so I decided to do a VO M4 GTS

Ordered Bilstein B8 shocks and struts to go with my BMW Performance springs. Have heard good things about this combo.

So does this mean that they will “fix” it for you even if there’s no visible problem? I was wondering the same thing if it’s covered and would be something that dealers will do.

And a happy Christmas to all who observe it!

Nice! Did you order a suspension refresh kit as well?

How many miles? ECS makes a kit for $230 or so which is pretty inexpensive, but honestly at 60k I chose to just put new top hats, & rear upper mounts. There are only a few other parts that really wear out.

Here ya go. I'm not recommending it, just mentioning. Most or all bolts & nuts are reusable. I've ordered stuff from ECS but also read not so great commentary. I'm neutral on them.

Think I'll just re-use the parts from my Performance suspension. It's only a few years old and is a pretty complete kit.

So, spill it! How'd your 1er do this year?

Mine got a tune2air WMA3000B bluetooth kit so I can finally listen to music from my phone- really tickled about this

Also got a nice set of gearwrench ratcheting wrenches that were desperately needed to replace my aging set, and a $50 ECS gift card, of which I'll probably spend some on a storage tray to replace my ash tray...

Bunch of other stuff, but that's pretty much it for car things this year

It got a lot of goodies:
- CSS subframe and differential mounts (I'm giddy to install these)
- CSS tall shift knob w/ m-tech shift cap
- CSS m-tech shifter and e-brake boots (Shifter boot went missing somehow)
- Bimmerworld fiberglass sunroof delete panel
- $50 Pep Boys Gift Card (Will probably go towards a new battery or some tools)

The tall shift knob is awesome, the shifts are so smooth and easy. Throws are longer, but in that satisfying 'rowing your own' kind of way. And that's all I've actually installed so far...

Is there any way to find out how many of a certain model/color/interior was built? My buddy is looking at a rare combo and it might be the only one to exist but he's having issues with the dealership

There is a spreadsheet for the 135is that I know of. But not anything for all 1 series.

Having a new transmission installed in my 42k mile 135i. After having some $20k worth of service in the past 2 months has made me glad I bought a warranty. Now it seems to be out I have to decide how to proceed.

Really like the car, but scared to own it at this point without a warranty...
