Running boards are a different shape too...

Wheels size can be the same in Canada (18" are on the 128i ZSP), but there is no wheel style that is common to both models.

But the most obvious bodywork differences are the front bumper/air intake (128i is smaller and has fogs) and the rear bumper (135i has a matte-black diffuser, 128i has a fully painted rear bumper with no diffuser)

The 135i grill has chrome outer rings and chrome vertical slats. I believe the 128i has chrome outer rings and black vertical slats.

Wow...I think you're right. I've never noticed that! I think I like the black slats more.

Also add:

Exterior:
Glossy-Black exhaust on the 135i as opposed to the matt-finish silver on the 128i.

Interior:
The 128i offers a sport package; while the 135i offers M Sport package. The difference is M-badged (instead of BMW-badged) door entry strips, a M-badged thicker steering wheel, and an M-badged leather shifter with the stick tranny.

Sorry if I made any mistakes, but I'm pretty sure everything is accurate and that's pretty much all the differences.

Me, too. I think one of my 'mod's' will be the 128i grills. The blackout grills are too blacked out for me.

The grill is two pieces (i.e. grill and outer ring), so you can buy the shadowline grill set and mix and match however you think looks best.

Someone in the photos forum posted a pic of a 3 series with a black grill with the outer ring painted the same color as the car. That looked nice!
