following this. I'm in an e82 w/ the n51. I did the eurobox now I'm itching to do a headers and a tune. hoping the guys at bimmerlabs release a n51 version of their 130i tune. My mods are going to be headers, tune and that's it. maybe lsd? it's an auto and a city car. no need to drop it.

I wouldn't trust off brand name headers my friend bought eBay headers for his N51 128i fitment was terrible had to shave a motor mount to get them to fit after that it fit but got them installed for $400. My AA headers on my N51 128i fit perfect no modifications needed also installed for $400. The roundal works I here are a direct replication of the AAs if that's true I'd go with roundal.

Thats not possible. The 130i tune is dependent on the N52 with the 3SI. The N51 has lower compression and other differences that limit the "upside" of the N51.

I spoke to the bloke who runs bimmerlabs. he made the tune. it's not a real 130i tune, yes, but it will be a better than stock 128i tune.

that being said, I'm having second thoughts about the tune and headers. I can't seem to find answers on the n51 with just headers. I see lots about headers w/tune causing idle issues. this car won't be fast enough for me to tolerate that kind of thing. I'll reserve those frustrations for something a little more equipped.
