e92 coupe deposits

How many people have put down deposits for the e92 coupe already?

And If you have then

1) how much
2) where?

And if not and are planning to deposit, then when are you thinking about doing it?

I think you can only do it 6 months before delivery, when the car is officially released. There is no info now and no pricing info.

I should get one! I'd hate for there to be a E9x that I don't have!

Don't you mean e9x that you wish you didn't have?

Excellent, petesamprs. I was about to give up on the list and its lack of useful info & humor today. A good 30 sec crack up.

Not true. I put down $1000 deposit for an E93 back in November. Several folks have put money down for E90 M3s, which are even further off.

The way it works (in most dealerships) is you put down $500/$1000 that is completely refundable. When a slot becomes available you order your car at MSRP with whatever options. At this point the money down is no longer refundable, and you get the car about 1-2 months later.

Go for it,
-Brett

The way I had my deposit setup it allows me to have any model engine available for the E93 aside from the M3. This ofcourse includes the 335i should I find I had won lottery the week before and want to spend the additional money.

So its more like a deposit for bragging rights of being the first to order from a particular dealership, but not really a deposit on a particular car.

Wish I had money for the E92 M coupe.
