Expansion tank and small return hose that runs along the top of radiator to expansion tank, at a minimum. Then the other hoses, especially if part of the hose is plastic.

While I had my N54 apart and the space to access things, I replaced all my hoses, Mickey mouse flang, expansion tank and cap, oil filter housing gasket, oil cooler housing gasket, Vanos solenoids, camshaft position sensors, accessory drive belt and pulleys, temperature sensor, rubber vacuum lines, and I checked the condition of my Vanos oil screens. I also replaced my power steering reservoir.
I did all of this at about 95,000 miles. Was it all necessary, no. But while I was in there it made sense to me. |
