Buying Intake
I am thinking to buy an Intake but which one should I get? Can anyone help me please? Please post the link also so I can look at it. The price does not care to me. I have a 128 by the way. Thankyou!

hmm I wonder if a K&N filter can be fitted on a 128i, kinda like the ones on burgertuning.com. The ones they sell for the 35s won't fit on the 28. I had the same search for fitting filters on my Kawasaki 250R Ninja. Sometimes you get lucky and find a perfect fit with larger SA.
Sadly, I'm assuming the warranty will go to waste if you do something other than the bmw performance intakes. =[ http://www.knfilters.com/products_ne...d=128i&en=3.0L Maybe if we got a lot of people to request, they'd make one soon ? I already sent in my request! |

I already have a K&N filter in my 128i, but what i would really love to have is a K&N cold air intake system, now that would be something

Yea that's there too, but thats just replacing the OEM filter inside the airbox. I was thinking one step higher than that, and I guess one step lower than a full on cold air intake system. Something like what burgertuning.com has for the 35's made by K&N http://www.burgertuning.com/bmsintake.html In this sense, its almost a cold intake, since the OEM nozzle is still sorta blowing outside air in the general direction of the filter lol. I'd definitely be excited to see a similar product for the 128i around the price of $100. This is the kind of product that I meant we could ask for when I asked more people to request it at the K&N site. Replace the airbox entirely. |

Will a 135i intake fit on the 128? If so get the Injen Dual Cone, that thing looks bad ass. And gets pretty good numbers for an intake, on the 135i anyway...

I asked burgertuning and they specifically said that neither of the cold are intake systems made by K&N would fit in the 128i. I am personally just taking their word for it, since I haven't gone about snooping under my hood and a 135's to see the difference in airbox system differences. As for other filter brands, I don't know. Post other intake systems so we can all see.
I wish the K&N request for 128i intake products was stickied or something and had every1 on this forum do it . |
