Finally a BT music streaming solution!!

Been hunting down a solid bluetooth music streaming solution. I tried the ebay $5 version and failed miserably going through my aux port.
From what I have been reading using aux does not provide enough power for sound to properly go through. I found myself always jacking the volume to max when going through aux.
So I stumbled across this solution on the E90 forums and the music is loud and crisp without having the set the volume in the car to max!
$50 at BestBuy.

I've been using a TUNAI Firefly plugged in to AUX and works well. And listening to FM and CD's. Go figure. Gorgeous Blue! Cheers

I am not sure if pre-LCI cars got this tuner ability, but...On my 135i a really cheap BT- USB stick that supports the A2DP protocol is all you need. Set the tuner to USB and the BT stick will basically stream you feed like it was an mp3 file on a memory stick. Hope this helps. Not sure which cars support this.

Nifty, haven't seen that one before!
Do you get steering wheel controls with that one? Or more importantly, do you get music details/album art etc?

I've had one of the Tune2Air dongles for a few years now and it's about as great as you can get, but does not have song details or album art, and last I looked these were running about $80 US.

The Tune2Air sounds sweet tho! Uses the media connections under the armrest and lives in the bag under there too, it's honestly mostly forgotten about, but BT audio is always ready to connect and has worked perfect for as long as I've had it! Just hit the CD button and it's one of the media options that comes up.

Nah, just a receiver box resting under the arm rest. It uses the usb and aux port. It plays on the aux setting so unfortunately I get nothing on the small lcd screen besides aux…
I have my phone mounted on the vent by the steering wheel so I just hit next or pause on my phone. But I do like how it switches immediately over when a call comes in and when I am done with the school it switches back to the music where i left off.

Been using this Bovee adapter since early June with great success! Connects and works more seamlessly than most of the factory/aftermarket CarPlay units I’ve used or installed in other cars.

Shows all details from track / artist etc on the LCD (non-iDrive user here), steering wheel and headunit OEM functions all work, and if you’re an Apple Music user, your playlists and such will properly populate on screen. I use Spotify so ultimately just get the track details to display, and ability to skip / rewind etc. Super solid product and would definitely recommend.

I’m on an IPhone 13 Pro. I’ve read reviews that it works on android based devices as well.
