I haven't heard that. Most of the questions I asked my CA I learned of through this website and she had to ask higher ups for clarification. I hope your CA is wrong.

Commemorative Book
Just got a commemorative book in the mail from BMW all about the 1. Really nice hard cover, embossed with "Year One of The 1". On the inside cover there is a vin tag just like on the door and the rear inside cover is a certificate (mine is # 161) with the vin, chassis number, production date and delivery date, authenticating the car. Contents are a comparisan between the 2002 and the 1 plus all the development of the 1 and all the magazine articles about the car. Plus a travel log that you can keep a record of your journey's with. A really nice piece.

Probably some jerk-off that has never been to the website, and bought a 135i for his 16 year-old kid that ends up wrecking it....

Didn't get mine yet but I did receive the other smaller tri-fold out with some CD's and tiny booklet. Hope it's not the replacement to the Year 1 of the 1 book.

If we got the tri-folder with CD's does that mean we will not get the year of the 1 cert????

Book is very nice in white leatherette (def not leather if you smell it). I'm #000959. To note, I have no idea how they numbered these, but they certainly do not coincide with when the car was produced. ChrisK and I have two of the earliest US production numbers and VINs. :iono:
Question though.. who else read the Tom Purves "Limited Production" cover letter and delicately looked through the book, and then put it back in the box for safekeeping? Btw, I usually smell all my mail. |
