This is 0-100kph, which is to 62mph. A 4.7 0-100kph is more like a 4.4 0-60 mph.

Some places report the M3 at 4.3 with a 6MT, I guess I was thinking of DCT. I remember reading somewhere that the DCT was 4.0
Either way, wouldnt't that be a bigger argument for the fact that a JB3+AFE Intake+Magnaflow Exhaust = faster than M3 in 1/4 mile? WIth just those 3 mods you will gain well over 100tq/100whp unless I am just really confusing things.

I only got my 135 delivered yesterday. I joined here a few days before I ordered mine. I have a 2010 CR 135, but auto, obv no DCT. I am not trying to pretend to be a BMW expert, I just have always paid attention to "official stats" for almost all cars. Feels slow compared to my Evo but I'm sure its decently quick.

Not sure if serious...I've never seen any review of any M3 hit 0-60mph (0-96kph) in 4 flat. They are mostly above 4.5s even with DCT.

Intake isn't something that'll give you any significant gains in HP, neither will the Magnaflow. If you want an M3 killer

Tune + Downpipes + Meth.

Throw in an FMIC to be safe.

He added a exhaust and Air intake and I still beat him in my new 2011 DCT 135.... Anyway...

You all need to take into account that alot of cars are tested at\ or below sea level (Density altitude) which is like adding 40-50 hp... The M3 that was tested in New Jearsy at ATCO (which is notorious for way below sea level conditions) where people brag about records but most places are not anyplace near sea level, well above in facat.. ATCO is not a realistic place to test a car for 90% of the rest of the U.S. That 2009 M3 did DCT did 0-60 in 4.3 sec... the M3 stick did it in 4.5 sec.... same driver.... Now, that same car, and driver went to Phx Az. track elev 1100'... DA, 1504' Not to high above sea level with near identical temps outside between the two locations,... And ran 0-60 in 4.68 with the DCT and 4.83 with the stick...

Altitude makes a HUGE difference... My 135 2011 dct ACCORDING THE MAGAZINES (LOCATED IN DETROIT MI) at 400' at the track and DA of 50' and in air temp of 70* ran 0-60 in 4.8 sec & 1\4 mi in 13.3 @ 106+ mph... same car tested in Phx Az (tested with just a tune for the N55 from JB and Vish) on a cool 60* day with a DA of 988' netted 0-60 of 5.2 and a 1\4 of 13.8@ 106 mph.. Both these tunes were not equivilent to anymore hp than a stock car at 1100' ASL possibly even a 15 hp drop.....

So remember where the car was tested and the alt , air temp and actual location elevation of the road test as these play a HUGE part in those performance numbers.... Just because a magazine says 0-60 in 4.2 sec (with a professional driver) add a quarter se3c for the best street drivers and then add another quarter of a sec for altitudeds above 1500'-2000' ASL...
Don't forgot some magazines allow a 5' rollout.

I honestly must be mixing what I read. When I read this, it was honestly like 3 years ago? So I've had it in my head this whole time, but clearly I am confusing things.

But you saw my other thread, I am just baffled by the blatant lies of these companies. AFE claiming massive gains when everyone says their intake blows, and magnaflow says 10whp/15tq gain off their exhaust, I think it includes mid-pipes.

I saw a video by one of the vendors doing an install of an axle back and afe intake. They dyno'd before and after, showing a ~10whp gain for both parts. Unfortunately they didn't dyno each part individually to establish where each of those hp came from, but 10hp is almost the difference just between pulls for a lot of the dyno graphs I've seen...
