I think 7000k is where my bravery begins. I'm just looking for a more perfect white. There's still a very small twinge of yellow left in the philips 5000ks.

Honestly, I don't really see any halogen bulb ever getting 'too blue'. I think there will always be a yellow tinge to them.

Doesn't even say what brand they are. For 5 dollars, they are just as likely to burn out or burn your car down.

Haha. I get that, but just trying to fuel some possibilities for whiter bulbs without having to use LEDs.

Update, Phillips looks better at night. Damn near impossible to photograph accurately.

I'm happy with mine. I'd take some pictures and share but it's so humid right now the lens fogs over when I walk into the garage.

They are barely a blue hue. Most people at first glance would say they are white. GP Thunder are not accurate in their color temperature. I also tried their 8500k and they were purple. Didn't like them at all.

Just installed my 7500's. I'm going to let them burn in some, but they are just as yellow as the 5000k phillips I pulled out during the day. Save some money folks if you want PIAAs or Phillips. Buy the 7500k GP Thunders. Most places have them for like $15 shipped.

Strange. When comparing my OEM bulbs vs. the PIAAs, you can tell a huge difference.

I wasnt comparing to OEM. I was comparing to phillips 5000k's. There is a huge difference from OEM to the 4800k+ bulbs. Seems negligible after that without going blue or purple. Perhaps once I code my rings brighter it will fix part of the problem. But if I had it to do over, id have just bought 7500k GP Thunders and called it a day. The rest are a waste of money.

Phillips nor PIAA are as cheap as the GP's and the GP's appear brighter than my Phillips 5000k's too.

Sorry, misread that. Reason I bought the PIAAs is that they last a lot longer than the GP Thunders. Reviews said they tend to burn out. And once you have swapped bulbs on a 1-series, you know it's a job you'd rather only have to do once!

PIAA's are overpriced pieces of junk....My friends and I use to buy them back in the day but they might last a year if your lucky...Not worth the price...The GP thunders were great from my expierence. If you code the rings to higher voltage, they are great. I've been running GP thunder yellow for my AE's with higher voltage and they are awesome paired with my CBI D1s bulbs
