Picking up my New-to-Me 1M Thursday!
Guys, I got to admit, I am pretty excited. It is only Tuesday and I can barely sleep already before driving 6 hours to Houston to pick it up. The wife and I want to start a family in the next few years so I was told to get the car I wanted because it was the last one I was going to get for awhile, lol. I of course picked the 1M. I figure it is rare, classic, fast, agile, comfortable, and if Obama gets re-elected and we keep gas around 5$ it is more fuel effecient than a Shelby or such. I currently have a 08 135i I am trading for it, it is a member on here's M, but I don't know if he has told everyone it is sold yet. Anyway, it is an white one. I will polish her up an post plenty pics of it Friday, I hope it enjoys its new long term home in south Louisiana. I hope the wife doesn't get too jealous of the M and want to trade in her X3 anytime soon.
This is a pic of my "other" ride at work. It is pretty fast and agile, but at 72gph fuel burn, not very fuel effecient. I am a Flight Paramedic/RN at a local hospital. |

Congrats!! I too had an 08 135, I think youll be impressed and very happy you made the switch. I never intended to sell the 135 and I do miss it, but the M really is a different level.
Today I went through some local canyons and the M is just unreal. I have driven these canyon roads for over 20 years, almost daily when I was in high school. Never have I been able to go so fast so smoothly and effortlessly. previously done in my 135, dodge viper, 300zx... the M is totally different. |

I am almost certain I know whose 1m you are buying
I have known and been friends with him for over a decade now and he is very meticulous with his vehicles. You are getting a great car and I can tell unequivocally anything he has relayed to you about the car is the God's honest truth. Congrats and enjoy your new ride. I still get excited daily to hop in my car and hit the road! |
