Where the hell do those pipes go? The arrangment seems funny to me, the left set almost look like they go underneath the suspension bits, yet the right ones look as though they disappear above the suspension components. Can someone identify the layout properly, Is this normal? I have to confess I'm not familiar with the gubbins under the back of the M3 either! At the moment I'd call it a very convincing "bad" photoshop?

Yet you bought your car, right? That means you got past a part of the car you weren't thrilled about. The same could happen here.

With the front end of the M1 being significantly wider, the headlights will appear smaller or more proportional to the car.

You own a 1er right? They must not have been that big of a turn off right?

I can't tell where the plumbing is going either. I hope this isn't a pseudo quad setup like the Remus.

Haha. Sorry, Chris. This is just so BIG. At this point the alleged weight penalty is worth us knowing its an M. Especially when the big reveal is months away. I mean we both knew but its always nice when the evidence gets stronger and stronger. Scott wasn't kidding when he said they added these things on in stages.

Almost like the muffler is in front of the rear wheels and there are two pipes coming off in different directions.

This will not be a "real" quad setup. It's going to be one pipe going into one muffler with four tips. Just like the GR STI, purely aesthetic.

If you look really closely you can see that the third brake light on the trunk has a crack in the center, just like the 135i, which leads me to believe that this car is going to be a 135is.

Sorry, I couldnt help myself.

I've been informed that BMW M will only produce around 2,500 cars world wide, and production will start in Mar/Apr 2011. And there is a big possibility that they might offer it in 6-Speed manual transmision only!!

I've heard similar from a few different sources as well. I have an issue with that though. Scott talks about a convertible. Why would they go through the trouble? Also, why produce so little? It must REALLY be that badass. Its almost as if they're afraid of something. I really hope it has a two year run like the Z4M. That seems a bit more acceptable in my book. Hopefully the demand will make them squeeze another year out of it.

Scott said 6MT and DCT - but who knows.

Definately don't think it needed the quads to be considered a true M car but it doesnt bother me that it has them. I like that it will now end the debate of M vs 35is
