Not so much spacers, but a cure for fendergapitis!

My 1M arrived at the dealer yesterday and my CA called to let me know they were waiting for me to arrive before unloading it. The driver was great and had no problems waiting the 20 minutes for me to show up. Once it was off the truck the CA asked me to come in as he had something. He had received the announcement of this poster (he says it's limited production) and he had one delivered overnight to be able to give it to me when I was there to watch it being driven off the truck. Nice touch.

The text at the bottom of the poster reads:

"A power-to-size ratio that's both right and all kinds of wrong"

Listen, you didnt buy a show car, you bought a performance car.... If a mod doesnt add more go... there is no point, especially on a lame cosmetic like wheel spacers. Why not just dump it on hydraulics, gut the fenders and drop it to the ground while your at it... I mean, it will look "cooler" to some then right?

Dude, seriously, you need to take a chill pill, it'll help you deal with your allocation anxiety as well, as clearly your off your rocker.

"A mod doesn't add more go" - depends on your definition of what a mod is. A member above^^^ mentioned a black grill would look good. Sure, it adds no more go, but certainly has appeal to many owners, if not, BMW wouldn't be selling it. In fact, BMW would't be offering a Performance line as barely anything adds "go" (CF mirrors/spoilers/steering wheels, heck, even floormats, etc.) And BTW, a suspension drop + wider wheebase (e.g. a Moton or any other good aftermarket setup) will add more go (lower center of gravity, wider footprint/wheelbase, improved handling over stock). But yeah, it won't add HP if that's purely what you are looking for, but it will help you put the existing power down better (and thus be faster, so here's your 'go').

You just need to live and let live, if you want to leave your (potential) 1///M unmodded, go right ahead, no one is gonna fault you for it, it's your car. So apply the same principle to others.

PS: Just saw your SRT-4 pic gallery with those oversized chrome rims. Enlightlighten me, is that a performance or show car and where's the "more go"?

Kinda ironic that you say this given the fact that your sig says you want your "performance" car fully loaded. pretty sure the premium package or navigation doesn't add more go. why add all that extra weight?

Just let it go. Please.

LOL what a hypocrite, wait I forgot large chrome rims add 30hp and 20lb/ft torque!

My CA said this was a limited edition poster (to go with a limited edition car?), so it's best to act quickly.

First off...... if you understood what the rims were, and why I have them you wouldnt sound like an idiot criticizing them. They are ubber lightweight forged 19in Centerline rims, 19lbs each rim, and that includes the chrome on them. Most rims at 17 inches come in at over 20 lbs... They ahve since been replaced due to a crack, and that was the only reason I replaced them. I got them Freebie off a military buddy/mentor who wrecked his car, next point; More "GO" as I call it is anything that increase the handleing charectoristics and power to weight ratio.... While adding replacment grilles doesnt add to that, it doesnt add any aftermarket weight as adding spacers for no apparent reason than to look cooler (albeit small weight, it doesnt even add that much in asthetics either)... And im not off my rocker, and im not mad, its just my .02 and if you dont liek it ohh well, thats just the way I am. Sorry if you cant take criticism for what I think is a retarded modd.

And if you realy have to ask "wheres all the go" on my SRT... you didnt take a look at the mods list obviously.

Well, therein lies the kicker.... I have my 135 with basics, manual seat, no sat nav, no extra heat shit, just connectivity items. And thats the way I would want my M, except for the nav system - after having the 135 without and seeing the others with it - it is an app I truely want and use, all the time being over here in Euope as you well know its benefits. I have one stand alone gps and dont feel like swapping it between 3 cars. If I could get the Sat Nav without all the extra shit i would. Having to fully load your car with crap just to get Sat Nav is RETARDED!

I HATE the way they bundled the damn packages, my biggest gripe with the damn car. Although, I will swap the seats, and all else to shed those pounds so the "fully loaded" isnt that bad as long as I can sell the shit I take out of the M.

So again, my point/opinion is valid, and mainly pertaining to AFTERMARKET modifications, if it doesnt add "go" its a waste of money on a performance car.

Large - what diameter is Large becasue if these rims you speak of are too Large then every wheel set on any M produced now is too large becasue they are the exact smae diameter - 19in. Check your facts and you wont come off sounding retarded.

PS - those BMW wheels weigh in 6-8lbs over what my so called "Large" rims weigh.
