No, but I've heard people put their bike in your trunk.

Care to elaborate? Due to no centercap? Fitment?

Centercap issue is simple - order the street version.

You're way too worried about it, man. Chill out. You drive a 128.

My grandma likes her 128 as well.

For me, the suspension is "sorted" if you would read the thread. I'm not going lower with this car. I've had my share of low cars and I'd like to keep this car nice. See below for my current daily A4 on H&R coilovers.

That's pretty funny.

Actually, I did read the thread. And I don't consider someone's suspension even close to sorted when it consists of H&R lowering springs on stock dampers (plus some stretched tires for good measure). I guarantee my car would beat yours around a track, and not just because yours would never pass tech.

Anyway, I'm not against roof racks. Put a nice Yakima one one my wife's car myself. She puts her surfboards on it. I'm just trying to understand the thought process of someone sitting at home, with no apparent need for a roof rack, getting online and ordering one. I guess I must be old, that's all - but deep down, you must understand we're I'm coming from. A roof rack is an accessory with a specific purpose - I know the stance scene taught you that they're a fashion accessory - but to own something you don't use has always been considered posing to me.

But hey, it's your car - enjoy it.

Thanks for your continued useless input on how I should modify my car.

I have no intentions of tracking it and right now it has 27,000 miles. So while it sits in the garage driven once - twice a week the stock dampers will suit me just fine.

Enjoy your 128 track car and getting lapped by real cars. I don't care how you use your car or what you do to it. I love people that judge others. Live your life and worry about yourself.

Just sharing the progress on MY car, which makes me happy. That's what it's all about.

Of course not - it's too busy being "hard parked." It's nice to see that you opted for the big engine (with a tune, no less) when your car sees about as much actual use as your roof rack.

Actually, I lapped my entire run group last time out, including a Dinan M3. If you weren't all about show, you might understand there's much more to cars than "flossing," whatever the hell that even means.

And sorry if you feel judged - but it's kind of like how you judge 128i's to be "grandma cars."

Again, use your car as you like, dude. I think a 128 is a silly track car, but you're allowed to do what you want with your car.

The black kidneys on your car - those help to create extra air flow when you're on the track? Does that euro plate create extra downforce?

FLOSS is a forum member here that builds wheels that several members have purchased wheels from. That's the tie in to the thread title.

The world would be a pretty boring place if we all bought the same cars and used them exactly the same.

You seem pretty close-minded and need to open your eyes. People are different and that's OKAY.

Comments like this make you sound a lot less open-minded and tolerant than you profess to be.

No, of course not. The black kidneys are a cosmetic mod, plain and simple. That's how they're sold. If you think a roof rack makes your car look better, great - I just thought it was strange that someone would mount one just for looks. I mean, most people who actually use them think they look terrible, but tolerate them because they serve a function. Different strokes, I guess.

As for the Euro plate, at the time that picture was taken I lived in - wait for it - Europe. That plate was issued by the Spanish government.

Yeah, that is okay. I actually agree with you. I just can't resist when someone with a 135i tries to pull the enthusiast card on someone with a 128i.

This thread is full of win.
So far I give the victory to Bob in this understated Internet argument. 1of if you could call him a retard or some other really offensive term I think that would kick up this great post. The thing about calling 128i owners grandma's was weak at best.
Please carry on....

My eyes were opened so much so today that I went out and bought myself a 128 track car.

Do you guys like it?

I'd never buy a Honda...or a 128. You're correct.

Sadly, some modified Hondas are quicker than your car.
