I, on the other hand, am addicted to the sound. Hence my 5 page thread on the subject. What can say? I loves me some pops, crackles, and burbles.

Hey swagon, admit it... you like a little pop and crackle yourself. Isn't that why you made that sound clip of you revving your baby? Come on, fess up! Haha

Are you sure that wasn't for PPK2? That is mighty high just for PPK1.

IF you have a (later)N55... the PPK sw is out there, in the domain(interwebs) and some coders will charge very little for the flash tune(~$100). Remote car coding is another option... so there really is no reason to be suffering from the lack of burbles and pops.

Tbh, it's been months since I drove it but I think I lost a bit of the loud pops when WOT upshifting 2nd and 3rd gear. Sometimes they were really loud, caught one on vid as well.

The cheapest would probably be a used one if you could find a used one for sale. Good luck.

I just got the PPK on my 135i. It's not much of a difference in power, so you won't feel that much of a difference. However, if you get the car warmed up, put the car in neutral with the sport button on and you rev, you'll definitely hear the pops and burbles on the stock exhaust with the ppk. Other than that I wouldn't know how to tell.
