S704A M Sports suspension

Recently picked up a M-sports package/suspension e88. I have looked but I can't find details of what the S704A M Sports suspension option consists of. I've read where it's a bit lower and the ride is a bit stiffer.

Can anyone point me to a location that provides details of what exactly this option is please? I've looked here and googled, but not much luck finding the details...

Also curious about the brakes. Are those the same or any difference with the M package stuff...

Different springs & struts I believe. Brakes are the same if it's a 135i

I believe the bump stops are shorter as well. It doesn't say in the original post here, but I think the OP is referring to his 128i that he talks about in his "unicorn" thread. Also, the 135i only comes with the M Sport suspension here in the US.

The M Sport suspension includes a rear sway bar for the 128i. The standard 128i (non Sport or M Sport packaged models) coupe did not come with a rear sway bar from the factory.

Edit: not sure if the standard 128i vert came with or without a rear sway bar.

Correct on both points, the unicorn thread and the vert came with front and rear sways, although the rear was quite thin diameter wise. I need to go mic these sways.

Interesting to hear that the brakes would be the same as the 135, good start there for the 128.

I am still looking for a definitive answer as to what this package encompassed... Maybe I need to go look at realoem and look at part numbers...

The brakes for the 128i are not the same as the brakes on the 135i. I think what Gangplank was saying was that the brakes would be the same on a standard 135i or a 135i with the Sport or M Sport package, but you're talking about a 128i, which wasn't originally mentioned in this thread.

This is correct and I did fail to mention this is in ref to a m-sports packaged 128...

Yes, that helps. And yes Esteban is correct, which is why I phrased it the way I did. If it was a 135i... I tried to look on real OEM but the site keeps giving me some stupid pop up saying I've won an iPad. Ugh.

The brakes didn't change between packages on either model. You could, in the aftermarket, get the BMW Performance brakes, which were (for the 128i) 135i calipers with an awesome paint job.

As I do on my car. Every little nick, ding, and chip.

I get compliments from friends on how nice it looks, but I always come back to those imperfections and just think about how much it'll take to make it really good.

getting this thread back on track

I'd still like to know what the sports suspension actually consists of. I've read springs and dampers, maybe sway. Any one know for a fact?

Different springs, different shocks and struts, a different front sway bar, the addition of a rear sway bar, and different bump stops front and rear.
