I made an account just to revive this thread... I am wondering if you ever found an answer to this question because my situation is exactly this. I am getting ready to order the final parts needed from https://www.bmwdiscountparts.com, but I want to make sure they are the correct parts before ordering. I have searched the internet but haven't been able to find a reliable answer, and that search led me to this thread.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Five years later my car still has m3 hood shocks and they are great. Zero issues.

The thumbnail image in his signature would indicate he's running aerocatch hood pins.

Always if I have a carbon hood on an e82. Factory only has one mounting point and the lighter hoods tend to rise.

Zombie thread revival

Hey ilikebmxbikes
What about the trunk lid? Any suggestions for a lighter cylinder to use back there with the Revozport lid?
While I was playing with mine and test fitting things, I ended up removing the cylinders temporarily. It felt like it took too much force to get it to close.
