as has been pointed out, the M2 shows it's advantage on a longer course.
having said that, I tried a friend's M2 recently. Excellent car, and as everyone else has pointed out, more refined than the 1M, much nicer interior, much more composed rear end. the best //M car BMW currently make. it's objectively the better car than the 1M. that doesn't make it the more desirable car, as you factor in character/personality, and all that. Make no mistake, if i could justify the purchase, i wouldn't mind having an M2 to keep my 1M company at all
