1M Without Headlight Washers

Hello All,

I know you can get a 1M without headlight washers although I have not seen one without them. Does anyone have pics of a 1M, preferably Alpine, without them? Thanks!

Sam

well, its not a 1M but a front converted 135i to 1M,
i decided to leave out the headlight washers because in Israel there is no reason to use them other than messing up the car after a nice clean wash

here are some pics

hope it helps

Thank you so much for posing this question! I'm not a big fan of the washers myself and am looking to purchase a new bumper cover omitting them.

The above images alleviate all my worries about aesthetics, heck--as I hoped, it cleans things up a bit.

Maybe not. I Just imagined if there is an OEM bumper available without them they must have made them without them somewhere. I could very well be wrong on this.

I do like the look of no washers though. I had mine coded out anyways. Thank you for the pics!!

RealOEM lists two separate part numbers - one for vehicles with headlight cleaning system, and one for vehicles without.

Yeah--readily available. I'm thankful that this thread brought out an example of the cover without the washers; really alleviates my concerns about messing with the flow of the front end.

a little Off topic: How did you come to positioning the front parking sensors in the way that you did. (The front fender does not come pre-marked like the rear fender)?

Hi Stratus, that's interesting, first time I heard that an 1M could be specifically ordered without them! Would you mind sending me your VIN by private message?

I remember when I met Stratus650 he told me that as long as you don't take delivery in Germany... and the car is an "export" model... you can do a no cost delete of the washer jets. I think very few cars had this option from the factory.

The reason why the car has to be an export model and not take delivery in Germany - is there is a law for the xenon headlights... that they MUST have headlight washers - so as not to get dirty and blind drivers.

Interesting...asking the VIN just to check the option list.
It could be only a simple delete of option 502 (washers) but Stratus650 mentioned it was specifically ordered without...so want to see if we can see any "special request" code or if washer deletion is standard for some specific countries versions.

After checking a couple of VINs, looks like every "GULF VERSION" (822) don't have option 502 ... so deletion seems to be standard in UAE?

Hi, yes you are right I specifically asked the ordering department to delete 502 from the options list, I even had to confirm it twice just to make sure, and it worked out

On the other hand, Most bmws come with the headlight washers here in the UAE for no clear reason (this may be useful in snowy conditions AFAIK, but not during a sand storm im sure lol) 7er, 5er, X5 etc all come with it, even my previous '07 650i came with it, so this is why I had to insist on deleting 502.

Will PM you the VIN sure
