Exclamation Can someone help diagnose this leak problem?

Hi all!

I drive a 2008 BMW 128i. I just topped up my coolant a few weeks ago and the coolant tank was completely empty today (super surprising). I don’t track the car at all and mostly do highway driving. Here is a link to a video to help get a diagnosis (I’m on mobile): https://share.icloud.com/photos/0s3j...remium_Outlets

Could Someone provide a quick diagnosis and rough quote for this coolant leak fix? I’m pretty sure the head gasket isn’t blown since light smoke from engine heat and the coolant leak started just a few days ago.

Thanks in advance everyone!

You can see the hose is swollen. Replace that hose.

Upon further inspection there was some black powder build up around the engine which I wiped down. I assume it’s probably because of the smoke and overheating? Should I be worried about that? I only see smoke after I drive for more than 20-30 minutes. It’s been like this for a few days.

I have two mechanics quoting me $180 for everything to get fixed it. Apparently this is a pretty common problem according to one of them. You think that’s a fair price?

Sounds reasonable. Not often you get a repair under $200.
