2005 E87 116i I am trying to update the DME
Hi All, I bought a car about a month ago and it is running a bit rough since the day after I bought it. (typical I know)
I'm getting a 2A83 Error on the DME: VANOS INTAKE I'm also getting misfire errors on cylinder 1. I have ordered coil packs and plugs as I know this is a common problem on the 1 series. The weird thing is it isn't holding onto the error codes it generates. I need to drive the car and catch the errors before the ignition is turned off. Once I turn off the ignition it loses the error codes. I would like to update the DME software or at least re-write it with factory in case it has been tampered with. I have inpa running and communicating with the car. I also have ista+ working on the car too. The ZUSB I got out of inpa is 7553350 and Winkfp with the V67.1 sp-daten and Winkfp is not finding a match for it (Error 704). Using FindECU with my ZUSB and VIN I get an error saying "5 variants found, but they are not applicable for this VIN" I then jumped onto realoem.com and looked up the ECU part number. ISTA+ is giving me 7550688 as a part number, realoem.com is listing this one: 12147550689 but that is ended. The replacement is also ended: 12147557810 The current part number is: 12142461574 Can anyone tell my if it is possible to update my current DME and where do I start? Thanks in advance. |
