New ARM Intake for E-Series N55

Has anyone bought this intake that's recently come to market? Looks great and there are not many options that completely move the intake closer to the turbo like this one does.

Would love an owner of this intake's feedback. Thanks!

This particular intake.

Also curious if anyone else has experience with this intake yet?

It looks like it's not going to be able to get too much cold air though. It's going to be grabbing mostly under hood air. I like the idea of it being closer to the turbo but does that outweigh the advantage of colder air?

Pretty neat for the N55 actually. Turbo cars don't need CAIs. Temp doesn't matter once it's being passed through an 800F furnace. What does matter is volume of air and this would certainly do that.

Temp does matter quite a bit though, that's why there's an intercooler. After passing through the turbo, the air goes through the intercooler to drop the temp as much as possible. Air that is too hot causes predetonation under high compression which will force the engine to pull timing and drop power output. If you can get the air entering the turbo cooler, it'll help the intercooler (actually, air to air heat exchanger) be more effective.

As long as the length and resistance are in favor of flow the temp won't matter. It's not hot enough.

I make no claims for this company. But this kind of intake on the N54 works. Should do well for the N55.
