Hole in wheel well material
I was looking at my wheels and noticed a hole in the wheel well material at the back of the drivers rear wheel. The hole doesn't go to anything.
There are two pictures attached. One is a close up of the hole, and the other is at a distance so you can see where it is in relation to the wheel. Is this normal? Does anyone else have this hole going to nowhere? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

It looks like the hole for the rear mud flap install.

But there is not a hole on the passenger side in the same place.
