downpipe differences

Just a curious question if anyone knows... what is the difference on N55 with the 3.5", 4" and larger downpipe size? It there a difference in power or is it more cosmetic?

Seems like I have seen them online all the way up to 5" for sale. I know with exhast you can go to large... wondering if you can with downpipes as well.

No matter how large the diameter is , it will have to taper at the end.
3.5 is the most popular ones, i say just get one that is proven (lots of good options out there)
