At the track - Need Help!!!
I’m currently at Sebring track for a two day event. First run yesterday was good, oil temps at 210F, boost at 17psi, car pulled hard to 6500rpm.
During the second session, all of a sudden the car would only hit 5psi and wouldn’t go past 4500rpm. It’s not full limp mode and acceleration was still smooth, but rpm and speed was frustratingly limited. DTC and ABS lights came up on the dash. Obviously the car is limiting and preventing itself due to some issue. I figured it may have been an overheating issue considering outside temps were 93F and other cars experienced similar issues. Come back out fresh this morning and my cold car immediately starts doing the same thing on the orientation laps! I pulled codes from the car and looking for diagnosis help: P15B9 - check valve intake manifold P152B P15DB P1505 - idle speed control valve closing solenoid P32C9 - no wheel speed signal received P32D7 P32D9 - general vehicle speed sensor error P32DF - vehicle speed sensor front right P32DA - difference in signals from the left and right front wheel speed sensors Interestingly I replaced the wheel speed sensors only 6 months ago, and I just checked both of them again today. I don’t care much about the DTC or ABS because I normally drive with them off anyways. But could that still cause acceleration problems? I need help getting my car back to full speed!!! Dunno about the P15x codes, but I'd wager you have a boost leak somewhere.
RE: speed sensors. They are your culprit. With this car, when the wheel speed sensors act up, all hell breaks loose. Clear codes, check the sensors and go from there.

I originally thought it was a boost leak too so I checked my throttle body, charge pipe, intercooler connections and all looked good. After my original post about only hitting 5psi, I went out on the track a couple more times to try and pin point the problem. The car would pull very strong and gauges showed peak boost in all gears right until 4,500 then all power lost... |
