Lightbulb Track 128i! How to remove the blower system?

Hi! I am currently gutting my 128i as I’m converting it to a track only car. With the dash and “crash bar” removed I wanted to remove all the IHKA system from the car. Did somebody else removed it or know how? I will also remove all a/c component and need I little knowledge to remove all that ahaha. Thank you guys!Name: 6066E31E-CB91-4CFA-9E79-86E418C52F07.jpg

Definitely start a build thread.
This looks like my future as well, but for now my track 128i is street legal with Air conditioning.

I'd be really interested to see how much you could lighten your car. I would think you could lose 400 lbs, especially if you have a sunroof. I do like how solid the car feels, but there is so much weight added everywhere. The trick may be to keep it balanced since most of the weight to lose is coming off the front.

I still don’t know exactly how to remove it, but I started to thin out all the car wiring, so it will be for another day ahahah. For the weight, i saw an e90 guys who was able to achieve less than 2500lbs with the cage, and that without going with a tubular suspension design. We’ll see how much I can shave off of it!

This is the heater core DIY for an E90, but 128i should be very similar. The actual blower unit removal is towards the end of the DIY PDF.
