I can see your point. I forget how much the price of CF drops when its produced in quantity. That was my main concern.

And to the guy that said Quad pipes. Make em real quads. As is pipes down both sides of the car.

I agree realistically speaking I can see this car being placed in the price bracket of anywhere from 48-52k depending on options. However I know it will be worth it.

When Seglar makes his statement about "financial accesibility" ... and knowing that the 135 base is 35 k and the m3 is 52 k base,I think that asking for a base price of 40-42 k would live up to their goal.(unless their trying to be financially accessible to the youth in Bahrain or Monaco)

Revealing the plans for the new 1-series-based model, ///M division boss Kay Segler said, “I want to set a clear signal that our products are financially accessible.

Guys this car is not getting manual. Sucks, but we have to face it. Unless BMW licenses something for the next M5 and uses that tranny.

Its a 1 series, manual will be standard. Youre forgetting this is the enthusiast level of M. Theyre sticking to the basics.
They will not force you to get a $2500 dct only option.

If I'm allowed to be super picky and specific (granted most of this won't be oem, I'm sure):

1. Body: loss of pot-belly, slightly lowered roof-line, more aggressive front lights, move orange turn signals, wider wheel wells (wide body), lose 200-300lbs minimum, wide stance quad exhaust, cf roof without sunroof
2. Interior: color stitching in leather, m3 style seats, and rear seat delete option
3. Performance: LSD, ~375hp, ~350 ft/lbs, M3 suspension, DCT and manual options

I would like a nice place setting for candle light dinners near the trunk area.
