Aftermarket Exhaust
Need everyone's opinion. I'm looking to buy an axel back but not to sure which one to buy. I'm not looking to spend a whole ton of money and I'm not looking for something crazy loud... Ideally what I would like is something quiet when cruising but loud when driving hard. I do want preferably something with a muffler like the Berk racing axel back with sport muffler. Any feed back would be great please let me know.

Dan, I went back and forth on this for a while and settled on the BMW PE. I couldn't wait for AA any longer and but the bullet on the PE. I'm glad I did. It was just the right amount of sporty sound without being obnoxious. They are a little pricey but well worth it. Best prices seem to be the BMW dealers who sell on eBay. Good luck.

If you want something that's docile when cruising but aggressive when you get on the throttle, BMW PE is the perfect exhaust for you. I think it has a great deep muscular rumble to it.
For me, I still found it too quiet. I paired up an AA axle back with the BMW PE resonator delete. So I have a straight pipe setup with stock DPs. I think this has the perfect sound. Not loud but it grumbles.

+1 on the performance exhaust, put it off for a while and almost went with cheaper options but i'm very glad I held out. sounds exotic on throttle but still very tame for highway cruising etc. no drone like many aftermarket systems as well.
