Is it also threaded for a aftermarket shiftknob? Whats the thread pitch/size? And this is a short throw for the N55s as well?

Yes this works for the N55 (E-series)

Yes, its threaded. I had this shifter on a past car and IIRC, its m14x1.25 for thread. This is the Shifteck Shifter and is a great piece. I got it for 1/2 of what dinan and other big names were charging for their brand shifter and I was very happy with my decision. Glad to see more vendors hopping on the Shifteck bandwagon.

Thank you. I wanted to make sure 1) that it wasnt a generic photo and was actually the one for the 1series and 2) that it was threaded and not just some grooves cut in it to help keep the stock knob on. Looks like I need to get one so I can get a different shift knob. Thanks!

Hi, I bought one and want to know what type of UCC DSSR fits the shifter.

On UCC web site, there are 3 options

BMW shifter
UCC Evo3 Shifter
Other aftermarket shifter
