Pissed as F*CK

Car has less than 700 miles riding with temporary plates still. I'm driving been cruising all day no problems. Leave a friends house, take my course home everything is smooth don't feel anything in the road smooth as silk. Now it is raining, but that's about it. Then out of nowhere I see a red caution sign, confused as hell, looking at it like wtf. Then out of nowhere a "Flat tire" indicator, thanks for telling me which tire it was. Seriously, how the hell does a tire go flat or starts to leak without me noticing? If I hit a big bump and I get the indicator I understand, but when I'm sitting here crusing not feeling a damn thing in the road and out of nowhere? Could it be because of the cold weather that the tire pressure fell to much? Btw, I have a 330 with the summer RFT. Waiting on my winter wheels but they haven't been delivered yet. Car has been owned for less than two weeks. Now I will raise hell at the dealership tomorrow but of course I guess there's nothing they are going to do about it.

Any suggestions? My BMW and its $300 tire is currently on my sh$t list.

Relax, just reset the tire presure monitor if you don't have a flat. Your probally just a little low on air in one of your tires.

That sucks, I always check my tire pressure every two weeks. Maybe you ran over a spider monkey or something.

Well I can't really tell now its dark out and raining so I'll wait till the morning. I have to go to the dealership tomorrow to get the plates so they can check it.

Shim,
I haven't even had the car for two weeks yet! LOL. Your method still wouldn't have worked .

Perhaps you drove over a nail and it caused your tire to deflate, and your BMW and it's Runflat tires saved your life?

If not...it's a minor thing. If you don't want a car with electronics, go down to mexico and buy a volkswagen beetle - the old one.

Why go to Mexico? The Mexicans live right down the street from me. Believe me BMW and Bridgestone's RFT didn't save my life. Plenty of people get flat tires and don't die.

Even I can feel your frustration on the road.
Common man. It is just a flat tire and no one got hurt.
700 miles, I read some people got new car totalled, got hit, whole engine replaced....
Good luck anyway.

Well I woke up and got over the whole flat tire problem. Now my problem is the lovly service I'm receiving from the dealership. "Can I bring in my car for service today, I have a flat tire?" No we are booked today come back tomorrow. What is this it's ridiculous.

Take it to any ole garage that can plug a tire up. Have them see where the nail/hole is. If it's not on the sidewall of the tire (and is on the contact patch), just have them plug it up like they would with a regular tire. I had one of my runflats plugged up like that (and so has plenty of fellow members) 4 months ago and haven't had any problems since. Certain things don't necessarily have to be done at the dealer, like this.

I am sure that sucks. I still remember the 4th week I got my new Benz and the front passenger side rain wiper stopped working during a very heavy black rain storm, that was the most horrifying thing that could happen when you are in a costed fortune new car. When I took it back to the dealer to complain...' a window wiper'! ...you bet what their priorities would be

What's ridiculous about that? They have no time to look at your car that day. In fact, I don't remember any dealership being able to get me in that same day as my call. I know this and call for an appointment in advance. Take it in the following day and just relax.

I'm not sure why you're taking it to a dealer anyway if you do have a flat tire. It won't be covered under the standard warranty (some dealerships offer the tire and wheel coverage separately). You're better off taking it to some place like Discount Tire who will check and fix it (if it can be fixed) for free.

Did you end up having a flat or did the sensor mistakenly tell you that you have a flat?

I got the car to a friend's shop who plugged the tire. But there was more to the story I don't wish upon anyone the service that I received by BMW this morning. At the end of it all I was able to get my sales guy who sold me the car and he is going to get to the bottom of it and said that nothing should've happened the way it did and he will get to the bottom of it. He said that I should've been brought in as an emergency vehicle in and out in half an hour. So when someone brags about a service center and when the time comes when I need em and this is what happens I guess I have a right to be mad if that person was mad as well and was not actually in my shoes.

Yea it was a flat like a said and my buddy took care of it.

mabey if you didnt act like such a child, which by your typing it is easy to asume you are, you would have been able to address the problem a little better. keep your cool. you wont get anywhere being a teenager bitching at the people at BMW. Your not their biggest concern.

And that comment right there is exactly what's wrong with America's businesses today. I'm not going to sit here and explain to you who I am. I do own a business and I deal with people everyday treating everyone on the same playing field whether they spend $5 or $500,000 is what I do. I just bought a $44,000 car and I'm not your biggest priority fine. But don't treat me like I just bought a used car from your dealership and i'm looking for a free handout. I called to PAY for service. I did not call anyone and say "can I get my wheel fix for nothing it should be under warranty."

I got over the fact of paying for a new tire if it deemed to be the case. I never lashed out at anyone on the phone, you see me lashing out here and the reason I'm doing it is because I haven't release my frustation on anyone else.

Like I said at the end of the day it was explained to me that the person I spoke to should have never delt with the situation the way they did.
