Upgrade Q: Should I upgrade the standard suspension at the dealer or third-party?
Here's a question...
I just bought a 128i off the lot, but it was lacking a few features such as a sport suspension. The ride is not so great. My plan is to upgrade the suspension to tighten up the ride. I'm thinking about having the dealer do the upgrade so I don't have any issues with the warranty going forward. Here's what I was thinking of installing: http://www.shopbmwusa.com/ProductDet...nterId=5635701 The question is if I should go for this or look for a third-party manufacturer and installer. Before I pull the trigger on any upgrade, I wanted to see what anyone had to say about it. |

What is the dealer going to charge?
I know genuine BMW parts are covered by the standard 2 year part warranty but I'm not sure if something like suspension would be covered if it was installed by a third-party. Hmm. |

Now that I think about it - contact one of the guys at Tischer - they will tell you since they sell that parts as well. (getBMWparts.com) Usually great pricing too!!!
