How "Yellow" is Lemon?
Might try to get Lemon with the monaco blue. Can anyone give me an idea of what this color really looks like? looks almost white to me, with maybe a hint of yellow...

Not very yellow. Its like a cream/yellow white. I have seen it in person and it looks great. It looks great with all colors EXCEPT Alpine white. IMHO...

LEMON look like the inside skin of a lemon. When you peel a Lemon an you have that secondary layer of white/yellow covering that is really close as to what Lemon looks like. Lemon is a great looking color with Monaco thats for sure.

I'm sold. Why would a dealer tell me that they won't order Lemon? The guy did that initially but maybe he just doesn't know what he's doing. I mean, every other dealer in NJ apparently is ordering them with Lemon so what can the reason be?

I dont know why he wont order it if its available. Some places are just clueless. Why would you want to buy a car from somewhere that does not even know you can get Lemon interior or just will not order it for you that way? Just something to think about. Let me know if you want to come by and see the colors you are asking about besides Lemon as I dont have a Lemon interior here.

It's amazing how sometimes the more you spend, the less service you get. I can buy $20 worth of recycled printer ink cartidges from a guy who knows his product, stands behind his product, and, in the end, sells me a really good product. But in buying a $40,000 car you've got poorly trained, unenthused sales arseholes and you have to look over your shoulder half the time to make sure you're getting what you're entitled to. It's really amazing... And, FWIW, the lemon interior would be great with Monaco blue...

I think Lemon is the way to go. How hard will it be to keep it clean? Is it a faint enough tint to not effect resale/value like a red interior could do?

It is a little harder to keep clean but its not impossible. I would just avoid wearing we blue jeans in the car as this could stain the interior. If you go to www.e90post.com and search for the username LEDZEP talk to him as he has lemon on his 3 series for months now and would know all of the answers to your questions. You can even tell him Ryan (ALPINE6SPD) had told you to talk to him. He is an expert on the Lemon as he has in on an AW 3er.

Obviously, it's easier to keep beige cleaner than "near white".
If you're up for the challenge, Lemon is a verty handsome interior, but it's more work to keep it that way. |

Please do some searching.. all of your "interior" posts are redundant, and you can easily find all the answers you want, and many more, with a simple search. You've even been provided with links in many of these threads you are bumping and starting.

If he can sell you on a more common color combo, he can probably find you a new 1er that meets your specs on some lot in the US and close the deal in days instead of weeks or months. |
