Where do you get your meth in Germany?

Curious to where everyone buys there methanol in Germany or the Stuttgart area?

Well,

Here in Germany it's considered a Mineral Spirit and it is a PITA to find a place that outright sells it. Justin (JK135i) found a place in the Ansbach area that sold him a 15 Gallon Tank for about 220-240 Euros(I think).

For a while I was using with good results 1 Gal of WW fluid (high meth concentration) and 3x bottles (yellow ones) of HEET. Ran with no issues whatsoever.

From Snow Performance:

• Windshield Washer fluid: Only if it is blue in color and rated for -20 deg F. It should have no special additives. This means it is safe to use and made of about 30% methanol, 70% water. If it is another color or another temperature rating, do not use it.
• You can “spike” your Blue -20 Washer fluid to a 50% mixture by adding 3 12OZ yellow bottles of Heet® gas-line-antifreeze to every gallon of washer fluid.

I guess thats for a 50/50 mix and I heard snow performance sells it as well but I will have to give them a buzz tomorrow.

Those are exactly the ones you can get without any issues at the car care center. According to their website they cannot ship outside of the US. And at $33.00, you're better off purchasing the WWF and 3x HEET here for $25 less. If you need help mixing it LMK. Been doing it for a while.

The place is in Crailsheim, it's called LD sportsline fuels. They get all their race fuels and methanol from VP race fuels in the states. A 16.8 gallon drum will run you around €250. They take VAT forms but you do have to pay mineral tax.

Yeah, I'm in for sure but still waiting on my car . My rental probably has 45whp lol. Just trying to get an idea of how much it would run. My understanding is that there is a snow performance shop in Germany but I might be wrong. I found this over in the e90 section saying that he order boost juice from them in 2011 in Germany.

Thanks, for the info. BTW are you running a JB4 G4 or G5 board?

Just looking around and I found this. It says it includes all the taxes so 16.8gal would be around 62 liters for 250. We can get 90 liters for around 240 but I will call them tomorrow and see if they would take a VAT form.

I wouldn't do that, thats not pure methanol its "industry methanol". you can get the same deal from LD sportline, 60 liter tank for 250 and its pure 100% racing methanol so you know you wont spray something into your car that could damage it.

Depending on how much you use your meth system that 60 liter tank will last you a long time. I leave my system active while daily driving and I just stay out of boost as much as I can, I've made quite a few trips to the Ring and sold Nick some when I first got it and I will have just enough to get me by before I ship my car in Nov. If for some reason I run out the new PX here carries denatured alcohol

Sounds like it! If you were using it for daily driving. Yeah, I might pull the trigger on the 16.8 gallon tank. I haven't been able to figure out what the deal is with the denatured alcohol. How do you mix it? I'm guessing with distilled water and a % of alcohol?
