The fact that it is metallic and not the same orange as the GTS means I am interested in VO.
If it was like the M3 GTS or even Ford Focus ST's I have seen driving round then I would immediately rule it out. Defintely looking forward to seeing it IRL. @ Woland's Advocate, have you any knowledge on whether or not the white is Alpine or Mineral? Doesn't bother me, but there seem to be a couple of interested parties here. I am also quite surprised by the split at the moment and that the majority are in favour of the Orange. I was expecting the traditional colours to win here! Cheers, Mark. |

Whichever is the normal 1 series white I expect. So Alpine White then, if I had to guess.
It looked good in white. But I find white cars tarty, so would never have one.

With our weather, I think it would be too high maintenance as well. CF roof would have broken the white up a bit but since you told me the black was SB, VO has move to the top of my list. |

My truck is black, never making that mistake again. White is really boring. Besides I like fun and rare colors. And I've always thought that the 1st looked best in gray and Sedona red...which is basically orange.
So since sgm isn't offered Valencia it is! |

The V.O. looks much nicer. It has a deeper hue to it. Slightly metalic and it is not as LOUD as the Ford orange colors. It doesn't SCREAM boy racer like the Ford color. It is very close to Sedona Red in classy-ness I feel. Dackel |

Yes indeed. Would have been interesting to compare results had I put Monte Carlo blue (or any bliue for that matter) in there. But alas, until we hear anything different.........

True. I also chose Orange, although I wish they would offer a grey and/or blue. That would really change things quite a bit. I don't like extremely dark colors. Will most probably never own black and see dozens of white BMW's.

For me:
VO>AW>Black A black 1M would camouflage all of the unique styling features of the panels. It was a close call between VO and AW for me, but the decider was that VO is unique to the 1M, and also, I remember seeing a sedona red 135 in the sunlight and it looked HOT. I reckon VO will look even better. The best would be VO with a CF roof, but I know that's out of the question now. Black is also just too hard to keep clean. |

At the end of the day, any orange color is bold by definition. Hence why this vote is interesting, I recon most people feel the Orange is the best choice, but the question is who will feel as bold when ordering one. It is a color admired by most, but not for the less brave!

I have my first black car and I've been saying to friends that any other black car that they see me with as owner in the future was given to me or I have a live-in houseman/yardman to wash, and who washes, it every morning. It is phenomenally beautiful but I cannot care for it and have given up taking solace in the fact that I didn't buy the car for the looks .
