Yes atr, the prices do not include Destination and Handling. You have to add $775 to the prices above.

Yep, take the base MSRP x .93 and round to the closest number, just like the rest of the models...
Thanks for the confirmation though, I was affraid it wouldnt be x .93 since its an entry model...

I think it's just old-school marketing, trying to create customers for life. Whatever $$ is ceded in providing the ED service will be made back a few times over on subsequent sales. |

Yup thats about right. :w00t: To figure out invoice on the options: Option price - 9% (roughly) = invoice.

If you can bargain at $1k over ED invoice, you'll probably get very good price of 135 with options. |

no.
Not at all. The savings comes from the fact the car will be imported as a used car saving BMW a ton of taxes/tariffs instead of importing it as a new car. The savings is passed to us.

This is closer to reality.Since the cars are billed out before you pick them up,they are new,not used.As long as they're not coming out of the dealers allocation,BMW offers the savings to maintain brand loyalty.Bottom line is in most cases, you're buying the car under dealer cost, doesn't really matter how you get to the number,as long as you're happy with the price...

The savings are not a result of different taxes or duties, as many people speculate. The duty on an imported car, whether new or used, is 2.5% of the declared value. In other words, duty makes up about $1000-$1500 of the price a 3-series BMW. Any reduction in value because it is used would not significantly change the amount of duty. Even a full exemption would not fully account for the price savings of ED. Taken from http://www.bimmerfest.com/wiki/index...opean_Delivery |

Please be aware that ED leases add .0003 to the lease rate... It adds up, and that "free month" gets recouped by them.. just spread out over the term of the lease.

So to figure out the ED Invoice price just take the ED MSRP, add the options and multiply the total by 0.91?
That would make the 135 I built (priced US MSRP $39,525) come to ED Invoice $32,243 + Destination ($775) + Dealer Profit (est $1200) = $34,218. Is that correct? Thanks! Matt |

If I do not go to the invoice price of the options then I am looking at an ED Invoice price of $29,535 for the car plus $2975 in options plus $775 Destination totalling $33,285. Is this a more accurate ED Invoice price then? |
